Private Medical Insurance
Our PMI is medical cover with a difference. It covers any health care need from physiotherapy to injury, to major heart surgery and cancer treatment. It also offers holistic well-being support to minimise or prevent sickness before it becomes a serious problem.
Our scheme is available to all colleagues nationwide, but we’ve also opted for access to the leading specialist hospitals around the country. Our PMI is designed for all ages, with gamification a bonus for maximising engagement.
Medical Cash Plan
Complementing our PMI is our medical cash plan, giving employees extra flexibility over wellbeing decisions. Our people get a pot of money every year to fund forms of treatment not normally covered by PMI.
These might be complementary treatments, such as reflexology or acupuncture. Or they might be dental or eye procedures. Access to the money is easy, and the scheme comes with expert advice and support.
Employee Assistance Programme
Life can sometimes be tough. Unhappiness is a key inhibitor for any worker in any environment, so we’ve introduced a 24/7 EAP to help wherever we can.
Our EAP offers trained counsellors to talk to in complete confidence about any issue affecting emotional or physical wellbeing, whether a work or home problem. Counsellors follow up discussions with a daily check-in, and the programme includes access to relevant podcasts.
Our Life Assurance scheme pays three times a person’s salary if a person dies while employed by CPS.
It’s a benefit that we provide as a direct response to colleagues’ requests, voiced through our two-weekly engagement survey.
Our scheme pays up to 75% of salary for long term sickness or injury.
Again, because we know that insurance can seem like a dry subject, we’ve selected gamification options to help engage people and improve uptake.
Electric Vehicle Car Scheme
We offer an enhanced car allowance scheme by supporting colleagues who want to go electric.
The scheme helps match up with the most appropriate EV for individual needs and payments are managed through the CPS payroll.

Birthdays, weddings, childbirths, and other milestone events are recognised, with announcements communicated via Microsoft Yammer.
Our people are amazing, and we love to recognise and reward the incredible work they do. With monthly spot awards, quarterly and annual star performer and praise on Yammer, we ensure excellence doesn’t go unnoticed.
Spreading The Love
It’s important to be kind and CPS puts a big focus on giving back.
We hold a variety of fundraising events throughout the year for our three chosen charities. There is always something to get involved in, such as cycling to Paris, scaling the Three Peaks or baking some delicious food to name a few.
We also believe in a good balance between work and play, and offer a fantastic holiday allowance, with a starting allocation of 25 days, in addition to bank holidays.
Additionally, we know sometimes you may need a few extra days of fun, so we offer the opportunity to purchase up to ten additional holiday days per year.
