Reading, 3rd June 2024 – The 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ was launched by Great Place To Work® UK, recognising CPS within the top 20 among the medium category.
The introduction of the 9 Day Fortnight is just one of the reasons why employees at CPS believe it’s a great place to work. Trialled first in February 2022, and then swiftly made policy, after a unanimous vote from our colleagues, the 9 Day Fortnight has delivered a multitude of wellbeing benefits.
By allowing our colleagues to work their usual hours over nine days instead of ten, they can take an additional day off every two weeks. This extra day has been a boon for mental health, and provides a much-needed break to recharge and reduce stress. It also promotes a better work-life balance, giving everyone more time to pursue personal interests, spend with family, or simply rest. Moreover, the prospect of a long weekend every fortnight boosts morale and increases job satisfaction, leading to higher productivity during workdays. In essence, the Nine Day Fortnight has created a more harmonious and fulfilling life, both professionally and personally.
I've worked for and with multiple agencies like CPS before and I can hand on heart say CPS is an absolutely remarkable company. From the moment I joined, everyone was so welcoming and sincere - making me feel like part of a family. Since I've been at CPS I have been able to spend much more time with my newborn son with the 9 day working fortnight, been able to get him some of the best care and advice in the country through our private medical cover. Everything within CPS has its employees at the centre to ensure they are always the number one priority.

The UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ rankings include organisations who have succeeded in making their employees experience high levels of wellbeing in their workplace. To compile the prestigious list, Great Place To Work culture experts analysed thousands of employee surveys, assessing their holistic experiences of wellbeing at work through fundamental facets of employee wellbeing, including: work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
Multiple questions were asked in the survey, but the stand out results in regards to Wellbeing was that CPS scored 98% on the statement asking about whether we have special and unique benefits, whilst 100% of CPS thought that we are supported by helpful measures to promote health.
The quote from one of our colleagues says it all about our wellbeing:
CPS constantly go above and beyond in how they can create an amazing environment in which to work. We only hire people of the highest calibre which creates an inspiring environment in which people can thrive. I've worked here almost 10 years and it's been a pleasure!CPS Colleague
