Capita
Capita, a leader in tech and AI adoption, partnered with CPS to migrate from Project Online to Planner, enhancing governance, reporting and building a future-ready, AI-enabled PPM platform.
Microsoft recently announced that Project for the web is being retired and transitioned into Planner. Understandably, some customers have questions about what this means in practice so here’s a quick summary to keep you informed and reassured.

Microsoft is consolidating Project for the web and Planner into a single application called Microsoft Planner. This updated Planner is already rolling out in Microsoft Teams and will be available on the web by the end of 2024.
As part of this change, Project for the web and the associated “Project” and “Roadmap” apps in Teams will be officially retired from 1 August 2025.
This change is, on the whole, a rebrand and rename of the functionality already in place.
If you’re currently using Project for the web or Planner, the most important message is: your data, access, and work aren’t going anywhere.
You can expect:
There’s no immediate action required from your side – Microsoft is handling the transition and making it seamless for end users.
You’re fully covered. The CPS Accelerator for Planner is built on Microsoft’s Planner infrastructure, so this change has no impact.
In short, your investment in the Planner Power App with CPS remains safe, supported, and future ready.
