You can lock down your data in Microsoft 365, but if the devices accessing it aren’t secure, your data is still at risk.

This becomes even more important when Microsoft Copilot is introduced. Copilot doesn’t care whether someone is on a company laptop, a personal device, or a lost phone, it follows the access rules that already exist. And if those rules are weak, AI can surface sensitive data fast.

In this session, we’ll talk about device security and Copilot. We’ll look at common realworld scenarios; lost or stolen laptops, personal devices accessing company data, patching that slips through the cracks, and explain how they turn into genuine data risks once Copilot is enabled.

We’ll show how organisations use Microsoft Intune and Conditional Access to:

  • Make sure only secure, compliant devices can reach company data
  • Protect data on personal devices without monitoring personal content
  • Reduce risk without frustrating users
  • Provide clear evidence for audits and compliance reviews

This session is practical, not technical. It’s designed to help IT, security, and compliance teams feel confident that enabling Copilot won’t introduce new devicerelated risks or awkward conversations later.
