The 2025 UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™ list was launched this morning by Great Place To Work® UK, recognising CPS among the list of organisations in the medium-sized category.

CPS’ employees anonymously reported that the 9-day working fortnight makes the company a great place to work.

Launched in early 2023, the 9-day fortnight was introduced as part of CPS’s broader wellbeing strategy. It was rolled out following employee feedback gathered through Viva Pulse surveys and trialled across departments before being adopted company-wide. The initiative allows employees to take every other Friday off without reducing pay or annual leave, promoting better work-life balance and mental wellbeing. Since its implementation, employees have reported increased productivity, reduced burnout, and a stronger sense of trust and autonomy.

This policy complements other market-leading benefits such as birthday leave, the option to purchase additional holiday days, and comprehensive wellbeing support through Vitality Health, Medicash, and YuLife. These initiatives reflect CPS’ commitment to trust, inclusion, passion, wellbeing, and people-centred excellence; core values that underpin its empowering and supportive culture.

Joining CPS has been such a positive experience. The onboarding and welcome were fantastic, and it was clear from the start that this is a company that truly cares about its people. The focus on wellbeing and work-life balance is unlike anywhere I’ve worked before, from health and medical programmes to initiatives that keep us active. The 9-day working fortnight has been a game-changer, giving me more time with my family and space for leisure. The work is challenging, but what makes CPS stand out are the people. The support we give each other makes us feel like a family, not just colleagues.

Great Place To Work® UK administered their research-backed Trust Index™ employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based tech employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ list.  The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.

Analysis of the sector employee survey responses found:

  • 84% of employees at the UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™ say “I want to work here for a long time” compared to 67% at a typical company in this sector.

We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™. At CPS, we believe that when people feel trusted, supported, and empowered, they thrive. Initiatives like the 9-day fortnight are not just perks; they’re a reflection of our commitment to building a workplace where wellbeing and performance go hand in hand.
